The Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships finished and have been the “best ever,” according to European Athletics President Svein Arne Hansen. As part of the inaugural multi-sport European Championships viewership numbers were hugely successful for both broadcast and on-site in the Olympic stadium in Berlin. The incredible live atmosphere pushed the athletes to many personal bests and shiny medals which were awarded at the Berlin city center “European Mile” at Breitscheidplatz. SOLID provided a turnkey solution for the volunteer programme including a five person strong management team in the Olympic Park, the volunteer management tool and all the know-how behind it to recruit, train and manage 2500 volunteers who made this event possible and gave it their friendly faces.
