Innsbruck/Tyrol 2026 Feasibility Study delivered

At year end 2016 the province of Tyrol, city of Innsbruck and the Austrian Olympic Committee (AOC) had a feasibility study drawn up as the basis for the decision on a possible bid of Austria with Innsbruck/Tyrol for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2026. The results of the study were presented today (21.06.2017) at a joint press conference in Innsbruck.

This study by the consortium PROPROJEKT and AS+P together with the project partners Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) and SOLID – Event Management + Consulting GmbH is a comprehensive basis for further decisions. In particular, the core areas of sports infrastructure and competition venues, housing, transport and traffic, the environment and sustainability as well as the financial framework were analyzed. The results of the study are unambiguous and provide a very good testimony for a potential application.
